Lesbian

I'm gay so what, why do you hate me so?
Anger and fear about a life you don't know.
I'm gay so what, I have the same needs as you.
If you cut me I will bleed too.

I'm gay and you think it is something we can choose.
Why would we, when we have so much to lose.
Family and friends like you don't want to know me
Years of torment they will never see.
I'm gay so you think I should just go off somewhere
to die.
You would like me to keep it to myself, my life
one big lie.
I'm gay that is part of who I am.
I pray there may come a time you can begin to understand.
I am no threat to you or the things you hold dear.
Love is love this is the message we want you to hear.

I'm gay I have committed no crime.
Perhaps you will see that in time.
